About Tred Displays

Tred Displays was founded by Chuck Edwards and James Caruso in 2006.  Leveraging their expertise in large-format printing, materials chemistry and systems engineering, the founders had a vision to develop a cost-effective, low-energy, large-format reflective display technology.  Since its inception, Tred has developed and continues to advance its proprietary EMD2(TM) reflective bi-stable display technology. Today, Tred is poised to launch its first full raster displays to the outdoor electronic message center market, currently dominated by expensive, power-hungry LED display systems.

Tred Displays has received funding from Flywheel Ventures and Sojitz Pla-Net Corporation.

Flywheel Ventures is one of the premier high tech venture capital funds in the Southwest, with offices in Santa Fe, Albuquerque and San Francisco.  Sojitz Pla-Net, part of the Sojitz Group, is one of Japan’s largest trading companies.
